Gift Certificate Terms & Conditions
Terms used within this contract:
Recipient - The person receiving the certificate.
Purchaser - The person(s) ordering and paying for the certificate.
The Business - Little Starr Therapies
Upon ordering a gift certificate, the purchaser and recipient are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
0. General Terms
0.1 If any terms are found to be unenforceable, it does not invalidate any other terms within this contract.
0.2 These terms apply to digital and physical gift certificates.
1. Purchasing Terms
1.1 The purchaser and recipient are bound by the standard business terms and conditions which can be found on the business website, at checkout, and in confirmation emails. Breaches to any of these terms will result in treatment being denied or terminated, and legal action being taken where the business deems it necessary. No refund will be given.
1.2 If the recipient and/or purchaser fails to adhere to these terms and conditions, any slander or defamation of the business will result in the recipient and/or purchaser's barring from the business for life, and any necessary legal action to undo damages and seek compensation will be taken.
1.3 The purchaser will pay for the certificate before it will be sent to them. Failure to pay will result in late or non-delivery of the certificate.
1.4 No refund will be given under any circumstances once payment has been received. The purchaser may, however, use the certificate themselves if the recipient chooses not to receive their treatments.
1.5 The certificate has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money.
1.6 The recipient must be 16 years of age or over, and be free of any conditions or illnesses which may prevent them from receiving their chosen treatment(s). It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that the receiver is eligible for treatment. In the event that the recipient has a condition that leaves them ineligible for treatment, the purchaser may transfer the certificate into their own name, or someone else's. In this instance, the period of certificate validity will not change.
1.7 Business hours are subject to change at the discretion of the business owner. Changes to hours will be posted on the business website. It is the responsibility of the purchaser and recipient to stay up to date with changes to business hours and take into consideration how this may affect their ability to book within the period of validity.
2. Certificate Validity
2.1 It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser and recipient to ensure that the certificate is redeemed within its validity. Under no circumstances will any exceptions be made. The period of validity (4 months, or the date shown on the certificate or email) is adequate time for the recipient to book their treatments and excuses such as busy lifestyles will not be accepted.
2.2 The certificate must be used within validity. If the recipient fails to redeem the certificate within this time, the certificate will become invalid and no refund will be given.
2.3 The "Valid Until" date on the certificate is the date that the treatment must be booked by.
2.4 If Little Starr Therapies becomes unable to deliver treatment(s) within the window of validity, the time frame will be extended up to the discretion of the business owner. The reason for the extension must due to the fault of the business or government guidance, and be seen as valid in the eyes of the business owner.
2.5 In the event that Little Starr Therapies permanently closes within the validity of the certificate, notice of closure will be sent via email to any persons who have opted into receiving email communications, and will be posted on the business website with at least 2 months' notice of closure. If the recipient is unable to redeem the certificate before the date of closure, the certificate must be used by the purchaser. In the event that neither the purchaser or recipient are able to redeem the certificate within this time, another named person agreed between the purchaser/recipient and the business owner may use the certificate. In this instance, it is the responsibility of the purchaser and recipient to stay up to date with a closure to the business that may affect their ability to redeem the certificate, and failure to do so is not the responsibility of the business.
2.6 Little Starr Therapies will cease providing treatments on 01/09/2023. It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser and recipient to ensure that gift certificates have been used by this date.
